Runway Inspired Challenge #8

Runway Inspired Challenge #8 certainly has alot of pop in it. I started with an off-white card but I didn't like how it looked. So, I changed back to white. We can do that in this challenge, just pick something and run with it. We don't have to be married to the whole picture...haha.

I think this girl would stand out just like a peacock. (Maybe she could smile, I would in this dress.)
I used the edge because her dress has lace at the neckline. I picked the peacock stamp from Fiskars because of the feathers at the head of the peacock. I almost added color to that but the model doesn't have any color there so I controlled myself. I embossed the three feathers. The blue and green ones I used a stamp but the pink one I free handed with a pen. The peacock is also embossed but it is hard to tell with this picture. I used a SU sentiment and a punch to cut it out. I than punched out another one in black card stock, cut it in half, and edged the sentiment.

  1. I think this is a really cool interpretation - I love the 'story' behind it and how you captured her hair with the peacock's headfeathers!

  4. Great card!!! I love the border punch and how it looks "lacy". Also the peacock is cool...adding the colors in the tail is so clever!! I really, really like this card, Jeanne!!
