Make it Monday - - - on a Wednesday!

Menhdi Medallion - I fell in love with this stamp set the first time I saw it and I love to use it every now and then. The beauty of these stamps is unbelievable. I stamped them with VersaMark and then embossed them. Then I used Stampin' Up inks and I used a pad and water to have a watercolor effect over the stamp. Then I took my clean cardstock and just dragged the stamp pads over the paper before I used the die to cut out the word blessed. I am happy how it turned out. I popped up the greeting and I am sending it out to a special friend that I talk to all the time.

These were the colors I was shooting for... I was shooting for the moon. Haha.

I thought the Make it Monday challenge entry time was till Wednesday. Now why would that even make sense? Funny thing is I made it monday and had it ready to go. I just didn't have time to blog about it. Blah blah blah...

Posting it any ways!!!!!

Put on your running shoes!!!

Well I guess I am planning a wedding. My daughter is coming home this weekend and the fun begins. I made this little book for her with a tablet inside so she could take notes. Haha. Let's see if she takes any notes...

I just loved the little wedding party I made... if only it could be this simple.

Inside is a notebook of sorts...

Thanks for stopping by!

Online Card Classes- Clean & Simple - Day 8

I have just loved this class and learned so much from each and every video. This card was fun to make. My daughter just got engaged on Christmas day...

So, she is coming home with her fiance on Valentine's day and I made them this card. I love how it turned out. We are having a little party for them to see the Grandparents and her Aunts and Uncles. She hasn't been home since the summer. I just cant wait to see the both of them. They are so happy.  The heart is from Stampin' Up you are loved. I embossed it and than ran my stamp pad over the whole card, then I wiped the ink off the heart.  Love this technique and will do it again.

I also made her a fun little gift for her to take notes while she is home. We have much to do during their short visit. Look at my next posting to see the little notebook I made her. Wish us luck!!

Online Card Classes- Clean & Simple - Day 5

Another day, another card. It might not seem like it but, I would never turn these candles sideways. This took everything in me to do this and I think it made a fun card.

All the flames look yellow on the original - this picture makes them look a little pink. I embossed them with yellow embossing powder from Martha Stuart. I tied the string around it and then I popped up the 4 x 5 on a folded cardstock card.

Thanks for taking a look!

Online Card Classes- Clean & Simple - Day 4

I am loving this class. No surprise that I would. Today's class is called 'Plainly White' and the wonderful Julie Ebersole has two videos on her beautiful techniques. Even though she uses big flowers, her card can still be clean and simple. You can see Julie's card and then look at mine. Imitation is the highest form of flattery!

I am happy how this card turned out. I used a watercolor brush and was able to give the flowers a little more dimension. It really made a difference in how they looked - fuller. Then I moved onto black cardstock and used white pigment ink with the same stamp. I like how the card turned out equally as well.

So glad I took this class... back to make some more cards. See you tomorrow!

Online Card Classes- Clean & Simple - Day 3

Oh my, it has been more than three months since I have posted a card, I almost forget how to run the whole works. I am so glad my friend Ginny twisted my arm and made me take this class. It is the second time I have taken these classes and everything is new and different from the last set of classes. I don't know where these ladies come up with all this information, but I am loving it! I think about the fifth sentence in the first video was something I had never known...and it was a very basic thing in card making. Haha

So, one of today's video's (I am 5 days behind. I started late) was on making a gradient image card. And, without further adieu...

I am happy with the way it turned out and I know I will use this technique again. Jennifer made it look so easy and I love the paper bows she put on the cards. I will be buying the "Dainty Bows Dies" from My Favorite Things, but for today I made my bow from scratch - not too shabby.
