Runnway Inspired Challenge #6

Yes, there is another beautiful model over on  Runway Inspired Challenge's blog. This is to be our inspiration for a card:

And after I made three different cards I think I knew what the problem was.... I never was a fan of dressing in red, white, and blue. I have two sisters, very close in age, and every fourth of July my parents would dress us in like outfits to celebrate the holiday. I did not care for it. Haha - now i see families dressed alike and I think it looks adorable. But, I always look to see if the little kids look happy or not.

The edge is paper, not ribbon.

So I used a pretty flower bouquet stamp from Hero Arts. I used silver embossing rather than ink. I than used red, pink, and blue rhinestones for the center of the flowers and a silver pearl for the center of the ribbon on the bouquet. The card base is Midnight Blue Al Fresco from the Paper Company. The larger cut with the Nestabilities is Iridescent Silver Transparent from the Paper Company. And the flowers were stamped on SU Very Vanilla. I made the edge using an EK edger punch and beautiful paper called Silver Linen Weave. Yes, that is paper, not ribbon!

I like that when I looked at my post, scrolled up and down, it followed what the picture looked like. It is dark on the sides and white in the middle with the splashes of red, pink, and blue. I added all the silver and the sliver edge because of her bracelets and her shoes.

  1. Oh goodness, what a pretty card. Those rhinestones on that bouquet of flowers really echo that blouse on the model! Great job. The embossing looks so pretty also!
