Runway Inspired Challenge #7

I love the Runway Inspired Challenge each month.High fashion mixed with trying to come up with a card inspired by that high fashion.

And this is what I worked on this week:

As soon as I saw the model's dress I thought of my mini mehndi medallion stamp set from Papertray. The model also has the cute owl hat (I visited this model's runway and most of them had different owl hats! - NEW STYLE?) so, I used SU owl punch and paper pieced different color little dresses on the owls. The letters are my daughter's sorority letters. I die-cut them twice to give them some depth. The owl is her sorority animal - bingo, she is getting a card from me.

My daughter has 45 days left of college. My hope is that she loves her life
outside of college as much as she has loved it inside of college. The ribbon
is such a cute pink (just like her leotards)... not that you would be able to tell
with my mad skills in picture taking.

SU Ink Pads: Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry
SU Card Stock: Whisper White, Pacific Point
Ribbon: Melon Mambo

  2. Cool card for K! Love that sentiment - reminds me of my dad - he used to tell me to "smile at the world and the world would smile back". Neat how you made this into a sorority card for her.
