I am glad to be making another card for CAS-ual Fridays! This week for CFC45 it's The Bold & The Beautiful- create a Clean And Simple project using pastels and black.
I enjoyed making this card because it is for my son's girlfriend. She is a lovely girl and she always has nice things to say about the cards I make. I used my Brayer Set from Inkadinkado with one of the patterned rollers. I used the the Versa-Mark and embossed sections in different pastel colors.
I made a mistake after I ran the brayer on this card today. I sprinkled the SU embossing powder on the first section and than, rather than put the powder back in the container, I sprinkled the next color on the card. I always think it is good to let the powder sit for a minute or so. As i started to take off the cap for the third color it dawned on me that I would never be able to put the powder back into the containers once they mix with each other. UGH! What was I thinking? I couldn't throw out the powder...It kinda made a purple color. Oh well. you live and you learn.
I love my embossing powder and hate to waste any of it!
And while I was stamping away my daughter was busy making her own
"living stamp":
She is 16... This is our fourth go-round with a teenager. It is the closest she will get to ink on her body. Or, so I say. Haha - Yes, the best is yet to come!
Thanks for coming to see my card and have a nice day.
This is SO COOL!!! LOVE all those colors on the black--a stunning card! :)
